The Salon Studio 2 is a very nice speaker that fits two needs the Salon 2 cannot. It works full range in smaller rooms and hits a lower price point. We have set them up and listened extensively to them. The result is it has the same texture, body, and seamless integration of high, mid and bass frequencies with just a tiny bit of low bass loss.
